Frequently Asked Questions

About PhysioEdge Physical Therapy & Sports Performance

What should I expect on my first day of physical therapy?

Your first day of PT will include treatment, so come dressed appropriately. We will likely go through a few exercises after talking about your goals, going through testing, and doing some manual therapy. Athletic clothing and shoes are recommended. You should also expect to start your appointment at the time that it’s scheduled for. You won’t wait in the lobby at PhysioEdge. If your appointment is scheduled for 10:30AM, we will start at 10:30AM! Lastly, come with an open mind and sense of excitement, as you’ve just taken the first step towards being stronger, more mobile, and in less pain.

What is a physical therapist?

A physical therapist is a licensed healthcare professional who specializes in diagnosing and treating movement dysfunctions, injuries, and physical impairments. Their primary goal is to help individuals improve or restore their physical function, mobility, and quality of life. They use non-invasive treatments like exercises, manual therapy, and various therapeutic modalities.

Do you accept insurance?

In short, no. PhysioEdge is an “Out of Network” provider, meaning we don’t directly bill your insurance. We have found a sharp decrease in quality of care when insurance is involved. That’s not to say that your insurance won’t cover your care at PhysioEdge. We provide each patient a “Super Bill” which you can submit to your carrier for reimbursement.

What payment options do you accept?

We accept cash, check, credit card, or HSA. We also offer payment plans for no additional cost.

What types of treatments do you offer?

Manual therapy (joint mobilization/manipulation, soft tissue work, etc.), dry needling, cupping, scraping, red light therapy, electrical stimulation, blood flow restriction training, therapeutic exercise and exercise prescription, custom-tailored exercise programming.

How do I schedule an appointment?

Through this link or you can call or text (719) 401-1166, email us at office@physioedgept.com, or pop on by in person.

What is your cancellation policy?

We require at least 24-hour notice of cancellations without penalty. If a cancellation occurs within 24 hours, you may be subject to a late-cancellation fee which is 50% of the cost of the visit. We understand life happens, as do emergencies, so this may be negotiated depending on the situation.

Do you offer any discounts or packages?

Yes! We offer a wide range of different package options depending on your needs that end up discounting the per-visit price significantly. During your initial evaluation, we will come up with a plan together, and depending on our recommendations, we will pick the best option for you. We reward dedication to your health with discounted visit rates.

Do I need a referral from my doctor to see you?

No. First off, Colorado has direct access, meaning you don’t need a referral from your doctor. Secondly, since we don’t take insurance, no referral is needed.

What should I bring to my first appointment?

Comfortable, athletic clothing, close-toed shoes, and an open mind! Depending on your situation, it may be helpful to bring any imaging you have that relates to your injury or issue you want to work on as well as your medication list.

Do you have a mobile or virtual therapy option?

Not at this time, but stay tuned! This will be offered in the near future!
